New Wings and New Tails

YEP! Melia and Zazin are... They really are constantly being redesigned huh?
To be honest, their redesigns are just in efforts of making them look good from all angles when I do eventually put these characters in the project I've always wanted them to be in.

Melia's wings have just always been so CLUNKY as I try to give her a butterfly motif while always trying to stay away from Toothless's wing design. It's got these bat wings on her back but now they have extra tendrils I mean how am I supposed to draw that in different angles?? So I took the harder route and went back to the drawing board-- I wanted to both stray from and stick to the traditional dragon formula.
Thus, Melia's wings are now COMPLETELY sail based. No more wing fingers. These "sails" have gone through convergent evolution to fold up like arms, but are not arms at all!

And then there's Zazin. Who's backside was BORING. I always ALWAYS knew that Zazin needed a tail but I never wanted to give one to her because it felt too forced, overdone, and would just be returning her to her "Werecat" design days. Then, I had an idea. An idea that sprouted from Leaf Tailed Geckos. And now, Zazin was given a sort of membrane tail. Sure, the color will change over time until I find something to balance out the wings, but this is a showcase of what's to come.
